Description: Effective Detailed 1% annual chance flood event floodplain for the state of Texas. This data has flood hazard information that includes detailed studies (Flood Zones AE, AO, AH, VE, and Open Water and excluding shaded and unshaded X) and is the current Effective FIRM. This layer includes LOMR information that was effective when TWDB downloaded the data from FEMA (as reflected in the metadata). Up to date effective FEMA floodplain and LOMR information can be viewed through FEMA’s NFHL Viewer separately. Preliminary data is in the appeal and protest and could potentially change but is still newer information than the effective maps. The NFHL effective data included in the Flood Quilt was obtained in March of 2024 from the NFHL Rest Service.
